Not Mad at Dat

Cache Rules Everything Around Me from Evan Roth on Vimeo.

There are two (and only two, probably) things that I like in this world: Girl Talk and animated GIFS. So you can imagine how this makes me feel.

Toon Time

Anyone who knows me knows I love cats, being alone, and reading the web. Reading the web for some people would be work, but you know for me, its a labour of love. Follow your passion you know? And that passion, whoops, leads me to TasteofPoisonParadise, a NSFW site where Disney characters are undressed. The weird part (lots of wierd parts to this site) is that it turns out all the toons wear briefs, boxer briefs or jockstraps.

I Meme Bussiness

I think everyones seen the internet sensation Garfield Minus Garfield right? The comic where Garfield has been edited out of the strip leaving John Arbuckle looking like a crazy sad existentialist. Who knew just removing Garfield from the strip makes things real profound, real fast. Garfields great, but I thought there was room in this meme world for some wisdom via America's comic strip sweet heart, Cathy.
So heres the first of many moments of Cathy musings. If you have any good quotes that you think would suit Cathy, please email em in!

You've Failed Me

I just don't think its fair that I have been using The Secret for weeks now, and I still haven't gotten a diamond Garfield pendant.

TGIT Thank God Its Tuesday

Tuesday is cool due to the fact of that I get to watch Dancing with the Stars, AND Intervention. But TECHNO Tuesday- that is great. Ack! I think this is one of my new favorite comics (2nd still to Cathy). The illustrator, Andy Rementer, makes a point of showing how technological inventions can make life harder. I will agree with him halfway. I feel as though bluetooth headsets and iPhones are wack- and who needs them. But the Web, I think, is one of the greatest inventions and to paraphrase Joanna's mom- I hope to be surfin' the web till the day I die.

Sometimes TV is Weird

The 70's were such a weird time in TV. I remember getting mad scared watching a Mr. Roger's rerun when Mr. Rogers and everyone went to The World of Make-Believe (those puppets had scary faces) and the King was threatening to chop off someone's head. Anyway, luckily the King changed his mind later in the episode because it was all a misunderstanding so nobody had to die that day, but I was still wigged out. I can only imagine the nightmares that the British children's show BAGPUSS must have inspired. Bagpuss looks like something from one of the SAW movies. Even his name is kinda scary.
And look at this French show Telechat, it means Cat TV. I don't know nothing they are saying- well this one isn't really scary it is more just sweet.

Battle of the Babes

Sure Dutchess from the Aristocats was pretty. But she was just so snooty. Who do she think she is anyways? As far as cat ladies go I always preferred Alrene (Garfield's main squeeze) and Cleo (Riff Raff 's cat girlfriend from Heathcliff) those two sure were real babes! Which one is more of a babe? That I can't be sure of. I think Cleo had a better body, but Arlene had a better face.

Man, there were some hot mama cats in the 80s cartoon world. No wonder so many people now are into furries.
